About

Mobby is a B2B startup that created a social network app as a product for “Influencers”, digital content creators.

The online platform provides a unique experience through native app skinned with the client brand.

Challenges

– Definition of a core version with specs well defined, design and variables;

– Definition of design areas to be full customized, such as, headers, menu, splash screen, load, colours, images, etc;

– Plan with enginners the development process to generate custom apps from the Core app;

Defining the customizable assets

The Core version required efforts from enginners, client, and SEO to test and validate the customizable areas, appearence, components and specs of the product before the release. All the product specs needed to be well defined.

Full customized apps

After defined the App Core and the Customizable areas, the developmet cycle was very optimized focusing the entire development on the design and test phase. Client used to test the app by themself.

Private Social Network

The main interest of the target audience, "Influencers", is having a private platform to communicate with their followers with no restrictions. For this reason, InfluencerX integrated the most wanted social network features in their apps, for intance:

- Post of photos, videos, audios and lives;

- Community comments interaction;

- Audience metrics to highlight trends;

- VIP provilegies for small group of fortunate users;

Landing Page

I designed a new landing page to promote the startup services and cases.

As usual, I started with Research and Benchmark aiming potencial opportunities and best practices. The main features were the presentation of app features, customizable options, and followers engagement, pricing table and success cases of popular influencers. Also all the guides, documentation, and contracts necessary for the apps.

Development

I was responsible for the design to code conversion, creating a static landing page using PHP to manage the web routes and views. Jquery, Bootstrap CSS and FontAwesome also were used in the front-end.

Feedback analysis

The feedback from CEO, Enginners, and clients was great. Only the copies was changed many times but it is part of a multitask process.

Process

Key decisions made along the process

Brainstorm

Discussion with the CEO, Wanick, the engineers team and stakeholders to define the Product features and MVP. Also were necessary weekly meetings to discuss the evolution.

Benchmark

Based on the product owners definitions, I benchmarked well knowed social networks, such as, YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Google Business. The main objectives were compare the common features and understand how users manage their profile, comments and replies.

Interviews

Stakeholders, selected clients who invested time and money, helped us providing knowledge about the target market, competitors features, and usability tests.

In the fisrt month some interview sessions was necessary to make sure the real user need and expectations.

The tests were performed in two different stages of the product development:
