Understanding project scope, variables and opportunities
Studying the company industry, their target market, competitors and goals. The key point of this phase was the definition of the client needs and its expectations.
“Client has lack online visibility and branding, and because of this he has challenges in effectively engaging with potential future customers. He has obstacles in attracting, expanding and getting new subscriptions from a potential customer base”.
Since we had not enough information at the first week, we developed a CSD Matrix table to define our Certainties, Supositions and Doubts.
Defining a clear, user-centric solution
Increased Online Visibility: Achieve a 50% increase in online visibility.
New memberships: Increase of 30% in member subscription / registration.
Based on the target market and user interests, we created two personas thinking on their perspective, interests, and possible behaviour.
We made a quick survey on jiu jitsu pages on Facebook to understand the customer preferences. We Didn’t Receive Enough Number Of Answers, But Through Observation And Statistics We Reached The Results We Are Looking For.
Over the site map defined we tracked how would be the user jorney of an usual customer on the website.
For that case we used the persona Ian Chandler in the journey to enroll his son in a jiu jitsu class.
Over these definitions we discussed ideas and created a Mood Board to get inspirations and make sure all are in the same page.
We studied the client competitors and best practices to solve the client needs. We highlited features such as agenda, membeship programs, and booking.
Meeting requirements, improving user experience, interface, and more!
The brand should represent a strong martial art style but keeping it friendly to people of all ages. Based on the moodboard and customer insights, a color exploration was done. The second step was to draw sketches to match with the brand central idea, make it memorable, and easy to be applied on materials.
With customer feedback we shaped a final version to work in different applications.
Based on the most common features found on benchmark, we matched then with the client needs to create a Site Map with the website features.
